During the week I tend to wear a lot more make up – I would call it a full face as I spend about 10 – 15 minutes putting on my foundation, doing my eyes, plucking any stray hairs and generally just taking my time doing me. On the weekends, unless I have a brunch or event to go to, I generally slap something on in under two minutes.
I know that I don’t have to wear makeup, but I feel more comfortable and confident if I even have just the basics on. On the weekend I like to take no more than five minutes tops to get ready, usually because I stay in bed as long as I can!
Anyway, I thought I’d share with you my go to weekend look, at the moment.
I use a tinted moisturiser all over my face. I’m currently loving Dermalogica’s Sheer Tint. I pop a few swipes of BDB Mad About Brows in Taupe over my brows, chuck on whatever eyeshadow I’m into – currently Estee Lauder’s Magic Smoky is a quick and easy favourite, followed up by mascara. If I’m feeling up for it ill add in two little flicks at the edge of my eyes of eye liner just for an extra pop. To finish I pop on a lip gloss or balm, when I was taking these photos my lips were ridiculously dry, so Hurraw came to the rescue..
These products have been pretty consistent over the last few months. To be honest, I rarely change my make up routine – apart from eyeshadows which come and go.

What are you ‘basics’ when it comes to make up? I’m not sure if there is a real name for these or not, but I call my basics the things I don’t really want to leave the house without on. Mine are definitely mascara and brows. A quick layer of colour on those and I’m ready to take on the day.
Is your weekend make up the same as me, or do you wear less during the week and more on the weekends?
Some products, indicated with a *, have been sent to me for consideration. All opinions are and always will be my own.
