Having tried and tested a few of the BB & CC creams around, I’d decided that I preferred CC cream to BB cream – mainly because the CC creams I had tried had a light tint to them – perfect for lazy days and or a pick me up before a late night trip to the supermarket!
Trying out NIVEA’s new Q10 Plus CC cream from the first use I knew I genuinely liked it. This is one of the first products in a long time that I’ve used and gone “I didn’t know I needed this.”
Not only is this a great base for foundation, it also goes on great by itself if you are wanting a light coverage – primer or no.
It goes on the skin and fills in fine wrinkles and plumps up skin – and lasts. I’ve also used it as a finish over foundation for a subtle dewy look, as I do love the dewy look in autumn.

Right: With primer and Nivea Q10 Plus CC cream applied – by hand. You can see it smooths out my skin, those lines on my forehead are reduced and redness around my nose is gone. Dark areas under and next to my eye are reduced.

// * Daily skin prep at the moment:
Cleanse using NIVEA’s Thermo Daily Warming Cleanser, exfoliated with Clinique’s 2 clarifying lotion, and moisturised with MedoFlowers Day Moisturiser.
While this CC cream is a SPF15 moisturiser, I like to prep my face first thing and let my skin rest a bit before applying primer and makeup for the day. In my head me giving my skin a small break over breakfast is my skin’s chance to grab all the goodness i’ve just put on it!
I’ve really enjoyed using the NIVEA Q10 Plus CC Cream, I’d definitely buy it and recommended it. Like me, it might be the product you didn’t know you were missing out on!
NIVEA Q10 Plus CC Cream hits shelves April 2014 in NZ, and the RRP is $19.99.
